Yes it is true there are basic mobs (npc's) in lamecraft, s4inex the coder has added basic mobs (currently without their own texture) into lamecraft:
Zombies:
-Taking damage
-Moving
Endermans with their creation:
-can place blocks
-taking damage
-moving
Snow man:
-Moving
-Leaves a trace of snow
Mobs spawn in the dark and at night:
S4inex has also changed the menu and the dead screens, as shown below:
S4inex has also added a health and hunger system:

A new lamecraft mod has been released by a czech modder called s4inex, he has modified an unofficial rev of lamecraft with new terrains like dense redwood forest, mushroom, nether and ather. plus he has added HALFBLOCKS:
(all versions of s4inexcraft are here) As you can see s4inex has added lots of halfblocks and CAKE blocks plus numerous wood types (this is the first mod with working half blocks, halfblocks where attempted by a modder called 'sudiz' but never worked), there are also static clouds

Yep, Drakon (the creator of lamecraft has decided to make lamecraft a multi-platform game (i.e. for PSP, PC and PS3)
